Residential
The project
A house of regular forms, where the cladding materials and the continuity between inside and outside do all the work.
The building is made of exposed wood-cement blocks, and the timber roof is clad entirely in dark metal sheets resembling corten steel. The technical systems make it a smart building, but the figure stays simple: a low volume that folds with the pitch of the roof.
The layout turns around a central corridor, lit by a long ceiling window. To the east is the sleeping area — two bedrooms and a bathroom lit from above by a light well; to the west the living area, with living room, dining room and a kitchen closed off by a fully glazed wall that carries the light all the way through. To the north the corridor reaches the garage and the utility rooms.
The kitchen looks onto a paved patio, with an olive tree at its centre. The house gathers around this small square, sheltered on two sides by a loggia and a porch. A staircase leads to the roof terrace, prepared for a photovoltaic system.
