Caorle, The Plan Award 2015

A tourist resort of about seven hectares at Duna Verde, on the Caorle coast, open to the sea, shortlisted at The Plan Award 2015. At its heart is the Wind Beach, the spiral pavilion that gathers the lobby, the spa, the restaurant and the lounge bar and leaves the view free towards the horizon; at the entrance the Entry Tower makes itself known from the road with minimal impact on the landscape. Beside it, the Kindergarten: a small “children’s town” for youngsters aged three to fourteen.

The project page

The Plan Award is the international prize of The Plan magazine for architecture, design and urban planning. It sets completed works and future projects side by side, divided into categories: for each one the jury names a winner and, when it sees fit, one or more honourable mentions. From 2015 to 2019 the practice brought its projects to every edition: six projects in five years, twice shortlisted and one honourable mention.
